Denny Hamlin hits Johnson

Denny Hamlin did not shake yesterday on the Martinsville oval. The pilot Toyota crossed the finish line in first position ahead of Mark Martin (Hendrick Motorsports), who was irresistible at the end of the race. Kevin Harvick (Richard Childress Racing) managed to finish in third place and remained in the race for the Chase, only 62 points behind the No. 48 Chevrolet.

But Jimmie Johnson's biggest rival only finds himself six points behind the leader. “ Who said it was over? I told you it wasn't over », exclaimed the second in the Chase. In addition, the four-time Champion of the Nascar could receive a penalty for a driveshaft change before the race. Denny Hamlin could then find himself leading the Chase even before the next race at Talladega.

With four races remaining in the season, the suspense for the Chase is intensifying. The slightest misstep would now be tragic for the three leading drivers. Kevin Harvick can't afford to miss a race again. Three different teams compete for a thrilling finale which the organizers of the Sprint Cup can only rejoice in.
