Julien Jousse pursues his American dream

Julien Jousse continues his rise in the United States. At barely 26 years old, the Frenchman will participate next February for the first time in the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200, on the Florida superspeedway of Daytona. A renowned event which marks the opening of the Arca championship. Alongside his endurance career, the champion Le Mans Series 2011 will find himself behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Impala prepared by Eddie Sharp Racing, a team whose reputation is well established in the United States.

“It’s a great opportunity to drive Eddie Sharp’s No. 6 Chevrolet Impala”, declares Julien Jousse, who draws on a few examples. “It was he who launched Nascar former pilots of Formula 1 such as Scott Speed, or more recently Nelson Piquet Jr. who shines today in the national series. ESR also won the Aarca title in 2009 with Justin Lofton, so I work with a team of specialists in this discipline. »

After three days of testing on the Daytona track, the French driver quickly got his bearings and managed to meet the high demands of his new boss, Eddie Sharp. “Julien is a very talented driver. He has proven it in many disciplines around the world and still today with several convincing series of tests,” declared the owner of the team. “I am very confident after our tests and I am already looking forward to the race on February 16,” concludes Julien Jousse. After a promising debut in the Nascar K&N Pro Series, the Frenchman will give everything to showcase himself in front of the elite of the discipline, on one of the most famous American circuits.
