McMurray returns to Daytona with Spire Motorsports

Passed into the hands of Ross Chastain, Reed Sorenson, Garrett Smithley and Josh Bilicki last year, the No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro from Spire Motorsports will have a new driver in 2021.

For the duration of a race, Jamie McMurray will return to service. With seven career victories, the 44-year-old veteran will compete in the next edition of the Daytona 500, the opening round of the Nascar Cup Series 2021.

« There is nothing better than the Daytona 500 and I am very happy to have this opportunity, reacted Jamie McMurray. I've been enjoying my time away from the car as a Nascar analyst (for the FOX Sports channel, editor’s note.) but nothing compares to the feeling of racing ».

Two years after his last race, also at Daytona, Jamie McMurray returns to the race where he already tasted victory in 2010.

At the Daytona 500, full-time entry Corey LaJoie will drive the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet.
