Nascar – Chase Elliott extends at Hendrick

Chase Elliott has extended his contract with Hendrick Motorsports which now runs until 2022. The rookie of the 2016 season, who replaced Jeff Gordon in the No. 24 Chevrolet SS, made a promising debut at the highest level of the Nascar finishing 10th after his first full season in the Cup Series with ten top 5s and 17 top 10s in 36 starts. Now all that's missing is a victory that won't be long in coming for the 2014 Xfinity Series champion.

“It means a lot to me to be within this structure and I couldn't be happier with this extension, comments Chase Elliott. I don't want to drive for any team other than Hendrick Motorsports. I am very proud to be where I am. I plan to work hard to help the company. »

Chase Elliott has been involved since his beginnings in motorsport at Hendrick Motorsport, which signed him in 2015 when he was only 15 years old.

“It’s amazing to see where Chase has come as a person and a driver at his age, wonders Rick Hendrick, the boss of the team of the same name. With all the expectations and pressure, he stayed focused on himself by working as hard as possible. His pure talent has always been evident. He holds a big place in our team and in our discipline and this will last for many years to come. I can’t wait to see him grow with us. »

Chase Elliott is currently qualified for the Chase by occupying 6th place in the Championship (counting only points without taking into account victories).
