Nascar – Jacques Villeneuve will return to Xfinity

Jacques Villeneuve's sporting projects mentioned in AUTO issue 2047hebdo take shape. The Quebecer confirmed Journal de Montréal that he will compete in around ten races in the Xfinity Series. The 1997 world champion F1 will be entered with the new Wing Nut Racing team. The Canadian who became an F1 commentator on Canal+ briefly returned to competition by competing in three ePrixes in Formula e with Venturi before being replaced by Mike Conway.

“The contract is signed”, confirmed Jacques Villeneuve to the Quebec newspaper. “We reported six races, but it’s a lot more. I intend to participate in at least ten events including the three stages of the series on road circuits and a few others on ovals including Indianapolis in July. »

Jacques Villeneuve added that he hopes to race at Daytona (Florida) when the season kicks off on February 20. The Canadian competed in several events including the three categories of the Nascar and between 2007 2013.
