Nascar – Josef Newgarden admits his interest

Visiting Watkins Glen (New York), where the the second road test of the season of Nascar Sprint Cup Series 2016, Joseph Newgarden, engaged in IndyCar in the colors of Ed Carpenter Racing, was an apparently very interested guest.

Accustomed to single-seater races on ovals and road circuits in the United States, the American spoke on the sidelines of the event. « I have a keen interest in driving a Nascar car. La car, for its part, has always attracted me since I was little. It's something special for me. I want to win the Indy 500.

But I would be delighted to see drivers move more regularly from one discipline to another. I know a lot of Nascar drivers want to race the Indy 500. I don't know if I want to name names, but I know there's probably five or six that want to. »

The most recent example remains Kurt Busch, who attempted the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 in 2014 on the same weekend, signing up with Andretti Autosport for the famous 500 miles.
