Nascar – Kyle Busch at the finish at Fontana

Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) scored his first victory of the season by winning on the Fontana oval (California) at the end of the 400 miles where many twists and turns occurred due to multiple punctures which caused numerous flags yellow. Among the victims, Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) lost his chances a few laps from the end after leading for a good half of the race. The series continued with Brad Keselowski (Team Penske), Marcos Ambrose (Richard Petty Motorsports) and Clint Bowyer (Michael Waltrip Racing).

The last yellow flag offered a finish at the “green-white-checkered flag” where Kyle Busch quickly emerged in the lead against Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch, who took the gamble of taking only two tires, in order to win for the second time in a row (his third success on this oval). The two drivers of the Stewart-Haas Racing finally finished in the top five behind Kyle Larson (Chip Ganassi Racing), author of an excellent restart the day after his Nationwide victory while Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs Racing) finished fourth.
