Nascar – Winning bet for Ryan Newman in Phoenix

The rest of Monster Energy’s first western tour Nascar Cup Series smiled at Richard Childress Racing and Ryan Newman yesterday on the Phoenix oval in Arizona. A somewhat unexpected success and which allows Richard Childress's structure to return to the top step of the podium after more than two years without victories, the last being to the credit of Kevin Harvick, already in Phoenix in November 2013.

It was the inspired choice of Luke Lambert, Ryan Newman's chief mechanic, who would largely decide the fate of the event. Newman remained on the track during the final neutralization less than ten laps from the finish, following the accident of Joey Logano (Team Penske – Ford), and returned to the front.

A first place that Newman will retain after the last restart despite his worn set of tires and resisting the attempt of Kyle Larson (Chip Ganassi Racing – Chevrolet), hit by Ricky Stenhouse Jr (Roush Fenway Racing – Ford).

Newman won in the end ahead of Larson, leader of the general classification and Kyle Busch (Joe Gobbs Racing – Toyota). Followed by the Fords of Stenhouse Jr, Brad Keselowski (Team Penske) and Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing), who precedes Daniel Suarez (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota), Erik Jones (Furniture Row Racing – Toyota), Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports – Chevrolet) and Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota).
