Nascar – Ryan Newman flamboyant in Indianapolis

Ryan Newman takes his first victory of the season by winning on the Indianapolis oval. The driver of the No. 39 Chevrolet started on pole ahead of Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports). At the end of a particularly smooth race, with only three yellow flags, the driver of the Stewart-Haas Racing found itself in the lead in the last stint, taking advantage of the time lost in the pits by the Championship leader. The Stewart-Haas driver is showing off as he looks for a steering wheel for next year since he will be replaced in 2014 by Kevin Harvick.

Hendrick Motorsports still achieved a good result as Kasey Kahne took third place while Dale Earnhardt Jr finished sixth ahead of Jeff Gordon. Tony Stewart (Stewart-Haas Racing) slots in between the Hendrick Chevrolets, taking fourth position ahead of Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs Racing). Joey Logano (Penske Racing) finished eighth ahead of Juan-Pablo Montoya (Earnhardt Ganassi Racing) and Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing). Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing) only finished in 18th place. Brad Keselowski (Penske Racing) is 21st. Danica Patrick (Stewart-Haas Racing) had to settle for 30th position.
