Nascar – Ty Dillon with Germain Racing

Ty Dillon will join the peloton full-time Nascar Sprint Cup by driving the No. 13 Chevrolet in the livery of sponsor Geico of Germain Racing in place of Casey Mears. The grandson of Richard Childress, brother of Austin Dillon who plays for the family team in the top category of the discipline, will benefit from the extended partnership between Germain Racing and RCR.

“I have been preparing for this for several years, commented the new recruit from Germain Racing. I am now ready to race full-time in Sprint Cup after playing in Truck and the Xfinity Series. I would like to thank Bob Germain (the director of the team of the same name) and the whole team for giving me this chance. »

Casey Mears will therefore leave Germain Racing after six years with the team where he only achieved one top five finish.

“I would like to thank Casey Mears for everything he has done for us over the past six years. He actively participated in our evolution, added Bob Germain. We will give all the resources necessary for Ty to show his full potential. He is a very talented driver. »

Ty Dillon has 18 Sprint Cup starts and over a hundred in the Xfinity Series, with a 3rd place finish in 2015 as his best result.
