Nascar – A road race in Charlotte in 2018

The Chase of the Nascar Cup Series will feature for the first time since its establishment in 2004 a road race contested on September 30 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The infield will also be used by the Xfinity Series.

The playoff schedule will be reshuffled with Las Vegas (September 16) as the first event of the second half of the season while the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (September 9) will mark the end of the regular season.

“The feedback from the public mainly contributed to the development of this calendar. This season offered unforgettable moments for spectators and we are well on our way to maintaining the trend in 2018,” admitted Steve O'Donnell, executive vice president of Nascar.
