Will Byron impresses in Miami

Despite strong opposition from Chris Buescher (Roush Fenway Racing) and Martin Truex Jr. (Joe Gibbs Racing), William Byron managed to take the checkered flag first. A victory that the North Carolina driver built himself like a great.

The first part of the race saw Chris Buescher and Martin Truex Jr. battling it out and big favorites for the overall victory. The man from Roush Fenway Racing even takes the first segment. The second started well to win the second but a not very polite maneuver from his teammate Denny Hamlin then offered it to William Byron.

So far very discreet, the resident of Hendrick Motorsports joins the fight for victory. Only one man stands up to him, Martin Truex Jr., while Chris Buescher falls in the rankings (19th in the end).

Despite the large caliber stuck in his bumper, William Byron, helped by the return to the front of his teammate Kyle Larson, does not flinch and even the explosive comeback of Tyler Reddick (Richard Childress Racing) does not make him tremble .

A solid leader, William Byron won the second victory of his career, the first this season, having led 102 of the 267 laps of the race in Miami ahead of Tyler Reddick and Martin Truex Jr. Kyle Larson and Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing) completely the Top 5.
