Nürburgring: KCMG reshuffles its crews

KCMG will speak much less French than expected during the 24 Hours of Nürburgring this weekend. The Hong Kong-based team suffered the defection of official drivers Porsche present at 24 Hours of Le Mans, because of positive tests for Covid-19.

Romain Dumas, Patrick Pilet and Richard Lietz, scheduled in No. 18 with Dennis Olsen, remain in quarantine. They will be replaced in the Porsche 911 GT3 R by two former winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Earl Bamber and Timo Bernhard, as well as Jörg Bergmeister. The three men have a combined 22 participations in the German classic.

Suffice to say that KCMG does not lose much in the change and will always be one of the candidates for victory. The No. 19 entered in GT World Challenge Europe at the Nürbugring at the beginning of the month will see the reinforcement of Dennis Olsen alongside Alexandre Imperatori, Josh Burdon and Edoardo Liberati.
