PCCF – Bastian Buus: “I want to fight for podiums, victories”

You set the 3rd fastest time in free practice 1 this morning, only a tenth behind Marvin Klein, best time. What were your feelings on this circuit?

I didn't know the route at all so I had to find the right pace. It is very different from those of F1 where I usually ride. It's a difficult but fun challenge. I must not make mistakes because they are very penalizing. I think we will be in the top 5 at least.

You are arriving in Cup France this year, why did you decide to join this discipline?

I wanted to do the German Cup and another. I chose this one because it is one of the best for me and for the team. At the beginning, I didn't think I would do the Supercup as well but I was offered the opportunity. So I have a big program, very busy, with three championships.

What is your goal in PCCF?

I'm aiming for the top 5 in the championship. I want to fight for podiums, victories and maybe even poles. We start on a circuit that I don't know so it will surely be the toughest round of the season. 

The two big favorites are Marvin Klein (CLRT) and Dorian Boccolacci (Martinet by Alméras). Do you think you can fight with them?

I think that it is possible. I have already done a few races with Boccolacci in PCCA. We were both close. I'm going to try to beat them on the French circuits!

You will play the season alongside Alexander Tauscher who has never made a Cup. How are you going to help him?

I have experience driving this car and he is in his rookie year. He needs to learn and I would be happy to help him. I hope that at the end of the year we will both be able to push each other.
