He really went looking for this one! This Saturday during the first race of Porsche Carrera Cup France at Magny-Cours, Dorian Boccolacci showed his talent and his race management to win. Starting from pole position, the CLRT driver did not benefit from the advantages of starting from the top of the grid. At the first corner, it was Marvin Klein (TFT Racing) who overtook him to take control of the peloton.

« I took a lot of security on the clutch and I didn't let it go enough, he said as he got out of his car. I didn't do any starting tests so it was difficult to gauge. It wasn't a crazy start. » Added to this a problem with the power steering, which made the steering wheel “ super light », and the start of the race for the Riviera was far from perfect.

However, Dorian Boccolacci never panicked and never " defocused. » Back in the exhausts of Marvin Klein, his runner-up from last season put pressure on him. At the halfway mark, Mouth attempted an attack at the turn five hairpin. Side by side on re-acceleration, the TFT Racing driver tried to maintain the lead. Coming in too hard, the double reigning champion had to cut the corner. “ He has no right to do that so obviously I went ahead. I just had to manage to stay ahead and above all avoid the track limits. » Diligently, the Cannes native collected the checkered flag as the big winner and without any problem.

After his two podiums in Barcelona, Dorian Boccolacci wins his first race with CLRT. “ I'm extremely happy for the team who works a lot. The victory also rewards all my work over the years. » The wearer of the No. 98 now wants to do it again tomorrow during Race 2, where he will once again start in pole position.
