During the qualifying session this Friday morning, Ugo Gazil achieved a very surprising 3rd position. A very encouraging result for the CLRT driver who was coming off a difficult weekend last week in Belgium. “ In terms of performance, I am very happy, he admitted. We didn't stop progressing throughout the day on Thursday with a nice 4th place in FP2 and we continued well today. »

Despite this second row loss, the resident of the Côme Ledogar team was disappointed with his second lap which placed him 11th on the grid for race 2. “ I wasn't good at traffic management, regretted the one who drives the No. 88. I didn't leave enough space and that prevented me from doing a good 2nd lap, the proof is that he is more than a second behind my reference time. »

Forced to change cars following a starting problem that occurred in the C2 of the Belgian weekend, Ugo Gazil admits that this “didn’t help” him. not really handicapped because the changes are very slight when you go from one to the other. » Surrounded by Alessandro Ghiretti and Dorian Boccolacci on the grid, the CLRT driver does not care about the duel which will pit him against his former teammates from Martinet by Alméras. “ I really want to do my race, go and get ahead. We will try to do our best, always within the rules of sport. My goal is victory as always. »

A first career success that Ugo Gazil will have the opportunity to achieve from 16:25 p.m., the start time of the C1.
