Four BMWs will compete for victory at the 24 hours of the Nürburgring

Will BMW become master of its garden again 10 years later? This will be the ambition of the four crews announced on Friday for the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring scheduled for September 26 and 27.

With 19 successes, the propeller manufacturer holds the record for victories in the Eifel but has not won since 2010. Ten years ago, Jörg Müller, Uwe Alzen, Pedro Lamy and Augusto Farfus led Team Schnitzer on the top step of the podium.

Among them, only the Brazilian Farfus will be there again this year, still in the same team. He will accompany Jens Klingmann, Martin Tomczyk and the driver in the No. 42 DTM Sheldon van der Linde.

ROWE Racing will enter two cars. The No. 98 will be entrusted to three DTM drivers. Lucas Auer, winner last weekend at the Lausitzring, will support Philipp Eng and Marco Wittmann. The fourth thief will be named Stef Dusseldorp.

Philipp Eng will also drive in the No. 99 which he will share with the driver of Formula E Alexander Sims, Nick Catsburg and Nick Yelloly.

Finally, Walkenhorst Motorsport will line up in the No. 101 Mikkel Jensen, who also drives with G-Drive Racing in LMP2, Christian Krognes, Jordan Pepper, usually an official Bentley driver, and David Pittard.
