R-Motorsport postpones its return to 2022

Already absent in 2020 in the face of multiple restrictions and the economic situation resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, R-Motorsport will no longer be involved in GT3 and GT4 in 2021. The structure headed by Dr Florian Kamelger confirmed this Wednesday in a press release the postponement of its return to 2022 for reasons similar to last year.

“Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the AF Racing Holding AG Board of Directors has decided not to participate in GT3 and GT4 racing for the remainder of the year and is instead preparing for a 2022 season successful, specifies the team.

This concerns our entire motorsport program. The main reasons for this decision are the access restrictions still in force at racing events which prevent our company from offering the exclusive R-Experience hospitality to our customers and partners, which is vital not only for R-Motorsport but for the activities of the whole group. »

Dr Florian Kamelger hopes to see the vaccination underway around the world allow the return of the public to the paddocks and to the circuits.
