R-Motorsport formalizes its lines for 2019

In 2018, R-Motorsport had marked the spirits by giving a real facelift to the presence ofAston Martin en Blancpain GT Series. By making the most of the old Vantage V12 GT3, the Swiss team had laid the foundations for a long-term program with the Gaydon firm.

A debut marked by success at Silverstone in Endurance Cup (confirmed on appeal after a disqualification) and repeated performances by its crews, which notably included Matthieu Vaxivière, Nicki Thiim and Maxime Martin.

After a successful start to the season at the Bathurst 12 Hours (second) in the Intercontinental GT Challenge, R-Motorsport will focus on the Blancpain GT Series, this time in its entirety.

The team, led in particular by Dr Florian Kamelger, will indeed enter two new Vantage GT3s in World Challenge Europe (a first), two in the Endurance Cup and three in the next 24 Hours of Spa at the end of July.

The two trios are thus retained on the Endurance stage Alex Lynn – Jake Dennis – Marvin Kirchhöfer (n°76) and Maxime Martin – Matthieu Vaxiviere – Matt Parry (n°62).

Lynn, everything except a stranger who pilots in WEC for Aston Martin, will be the newcomer on the first car, while Matt Parry, from RJN Motorsport and Nissan, joins the French-speaking Martin and Vaxivière. Parry competed in the last Bathurst 12 Hours in the Vantage V12 entered by R-Motorsport in Pro-Am.

At Spa, a third Vantage GT3 (n°760) will be entrusted to the young Swiss Hugo de Sadeleer (who will compete in the ADAC GT Masters on a PROsport Performance Vantage GT3), assisted by Ricky Collard, regularly seen with BMW in GT3 in recent seasons, and Ferdinand Hapsburg, new recruit of R-Motorsport for the DTM.

In the World Challenge Europe, Marvin Kirchhöfer will be supported in Pro by Ricky Collard (n°76), while in the Silver Cup, the Hugo de Sadeleer tandem will be lined up – Aaro Vainio (n°62) , the latter having passed through Team Rosberg in ADAC GT Masters in 2018 after a career in car having seen him reach the GP3 Series,
