Mercedes-AMG has secured the entire front row of the grid for the 51st edition of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. With a best time of 8:09.058, Raffaele Marciello put the No. 3 Team Bilstein Mercedes-AMG GT4 in pole position. The Zurich (Switzerland) native had a lead of 0,422 seconds over the Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed driven by Maro Engel. The latter missed out on the quadruple after 2016, 2019 and 2020, while the challenge cup for the fastest driver in the Green Hell went to “Lello” for the first time. The latter nevertheless remains cautious before the double turn of the clock.

« The car performed very well – we already felt in NLS 2 and NLS3 that the GT3 was working well and we were able to confirm now. To be honest, the qualifying result is good, but that doesn't mean much. I was on pole four times at Spa-Francorchamps and I was only able to win once. You must first validate the starting position! Of course, it's always good to start at the beginning. But we are already clearly focused on the race. We have a good starting position and we will see what we can do with it. »

Meet at 16 p.m. for the start of the 51st edition of the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring.
