Ryan Blaney at the photo finish at Talladega

Talladega reserved for us last night a finish at the photo finish like only oval events, and in particular in Nascar Cup SeriesEdit, can offer. In the running for Victory Lane, Ryan Blaney (Team Penske – Ford) and Ricky Stenhouse Jr (JTG Daugherty – Chevrolet) were decided on the line by seven thousandths to the advantage of the first city.

Postponed from Sunday to Monday, then delayed again yesterday, the race on the Alabama super-speedway came down to the last lap, and Ryan Blaney almost lost everything in contact a few dozen meters from the line with Erik Jones (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota), the latter going to hit the wall.

Slightly cut off in his momentum, Blaney finally crossed the line ahead of Stenhouse Jr and Aric Almirola (Stewart-Haas Racing – Ford), left sideways just before the finish line. Denny Hamlin and Erik Jones complete the top 5 with their Toyota – Joe Gibbs Racing.

Note that before the start of the race, the teams wanted to show their support for Bubba Wallace Jr (Richard Petty Motorsports – Chevrolet), victim of an odious racist gesture last weekend.
