SRO to confirm plans this week after UK coronavirus announcements

This Tuesday, Motorsport UK confirmed the suspension of all motor racing until the end of June, mechanically upsetting SRO Motorsports' plans for the launch of the GT World Challenge Europe season, which, after the cancellation of the Monza round in due to the coronavirus pandemic, was due to start at Brands Hatch (May 2-3).

This Sprint round and the event Endurance of Silverstone (May 8-10) are therefore affected by the British measures and SRO Motorsports must officially communicate its plans within the week.

Without an immediate solution, the possibility would be to see the continental series begin at the end of May at the 1000 km of Paul Ricard, provided that the Var circuit can host the race in view of the situation and the measures applied by the French government.

A date in August and one in October could be the alternatives to the English innings.
