Vukovic Motorsport enters WTCR with a Renault

The WTCR is preparing to welcome a new entrant this year. This Friday, Vukovic Motorsport announced its commitment to the touring car championship. Present in motorsport for around twenty years, the Swiss team has finally achieved its objective.

« From the birth of our project, our goal was to participate in the WTCR », Underlines team boss Milenko Vukovic whose entry into the touring car championship was accelerated by the health crisis.

« The pandemic and the reduced number of race weekends, especially all in Europe, gave us reason to enter WTCR this season. We want to consistently achieve good results. We know the competition is tough but our team has worked hard to be competitive ».

This WTCR season, Vukovic Motorsport will compete with the Renault Megane RS TCR that young Jack Young will have the pleasure of driving. And if it was entrusted to him, it’s because the Swiss team knows him well.

Indeed, the 18-year-old Northern Irishman started last year in TCR Europe with Vukovic Motorsport. Despite his young age, he had obtained good results and the Swiss team reiterated its confidence in him for the year 2020.

The start of the 2020 WTCR season is scheduled for the weekend of 12-13 at the Zolder circuit.
