WTCR – A Michelisz – Tarquini tandem at BRC-Hyundai

For his participation in WTCR in 2018, the Italian BRC team will not do it in half measures. The structure based in Cherasco near Turin will trust the new Hyundai i30 N TCR and will be able to count on two sizes having passed through the WTCC.

Hungarian Norbert Michelisz, world vice-champion with Honda last year in the world series, will team up with 2009 world champion Gabriele Tarquini. The latter led the development trials of the i30 N TCR and will be a major asset for BRC.

“This season will be a fantastic opportunity for us and the team to be at the forefront of the new championship,” says Tarquini. I am once again looking forward to a full season of competition, in what I am sure will be a very tough and competitive championship. »

The car won in China at the end of the 2017 season for its debut, and Michelisz is confident for the season to come. « Last year it was clear that the i30 N TCR and the BRC Racing team were the package to beat, so I am sure we can challenge for wins and the title this season. » admits the Hungarian.

The 2018 WTCR season will begin on April 7-8 in Morocco in Marrakech.
