The 2020 champion made his mark this weekend in Italy. He increased his points cushion at the top of the championship, the end of the season looks good for the Alsatian.

Yann, this victory comes at the right time, right?

It was the moment to show and confirm that I am a force to be reckoned with. I knew that winning the main race brought the most points. To be on pole and to win is great, especially since it's been two years since I last had a pole. The pressure is starting to build, we are getting closer to the deadline.

What have you improved lately?

We worked a lot on our initial strategies and the team worked late into the night to allow us to evolve on this point. We've had lousy starts for several races, we've had the same system for three years, we've evolved it and we tested it directly in the race, it worked, I'm delighted.

How will you approach the final?

I'm going there to win the race, I'm a runner, I want to win. I don't want to think about the championship, but if I keep this mindset it should do it.
