Yann Ehrlacher ahead of Yvan Muller in race 2 at Zolder

He knew the taste of victory in WTCR, but this Sunday, Yann Erlacher signed his very first success under the colors of Cyan Racing, having joined the fold of the Chinese brand Lynk&Co last year.

To do this, the Alsatian partly took advantage of an error by pole sitter Nathanaël Berthon (Audi RS 3 – Team Comtoyou Audi Sport), who moved from his position at the start before the lights went out.

If the driver of the Audi RS 3 maintains the advantage at the first corner, the first lap sees Thed Björk (Lynk&Co 03 – Cyan Performance) hit the tires of the first chicane after contact with Attila Tassi (Honda Civic – Münnich Motorsport) and being forced to abandon.

The safety car then neutralizes the race until the end of the 3rd lap. Berthon leads ahead of Yann Ehrlacher, Gilles Magnus (Audi RS 3 – Comtoyou Racing) and Yvan Muller (Lynk&Co 03 – Cyan Racing), but Berthon is logically sanctioned with a drive-through for his stolen start, leaving Ehrlacher in the lead.

The latter will win the victory without any possible dispute, while Yvan Muller and Santi Urrutia will get the best of Gilles Magnus before the race is neutralized a second time to evacuate the Renault Jack Young's Megane, stuck in the gravel after contact with Tassi.

Winner this morning in race 1, Nestor Girolami (Honda Civic – Münnich Motorsport) finished 5th ahead of Tom Coronel (Audi RS 3 – Team Comtoyou Audi Sport) and Jean-Karl Vernay (Alfa Romeo – Team Mulsanne).
