It is conspicuous by its absence on the GT World Challenge Europe and Intercontinental GT Challenge circuits in 2021. But the Honda NSX GT3 has not yet reached the end of the race.

The Japanese sports car will benefit from an update in the coming months. Soberly named NSX GT3 Evo22, it will be the result of work carried out by American engineers from Honda Performance Development (HPD).

Badged Acura in North America, the NSX can thus be approved until 2024. Among the improvements, there is a new cooling system to allow the twin-turbo V6 engine to ensure full performance in extreme conditions. The geometry of the suspensions is adjusted. Larger tanks will be used for endurance races. Wheel changes will be faster thanks to a developed nut system.

New options will also appear such as air conditioning and new headlights.

Since its introduction in 2017, the NSX and its first evolution have achieved 25 successes in IMSA and in competitions organized by SRO. Assembly will be provided by JAS Motorsport based near Milan (Italy), as will technical support and spare parts, while the chassis will come from the Performance Manufacturing Center factory in Ohio.
