Ideal start to the season for the Hérault team, both during the 12 Hours of Spa and the 4 Hours of Le Castellet. With three podiums to its credit at the two meetings, Vortex continues its good performances before continuing its season in Germany and Spain, for the next two meetings of the two championships in which it is participating.

Victory and second place at Le Castellet, another podium in Belgium

Aligned on all fronts, Vortex continued its 24H Series season in the Ardennes, for the third round of the year. For these 12 Hours of Spa, two cars were lined up, No. 701 (Sébastien Lajoux, Lionel Amrouche and Philippe Bonnel) and No. 703 (Gilles Courtois, Boris Gimond and Philippe Gruau). Unfortunately, for the latter, the race only lasted a few hectometers, victim of a collision then a fatal exit from the road.

For No. 701, however, the outcome was quite different. For a long time in the fight for the final victory, she had to settle for the second step of the podium at the finish, after having been penalized several times during the race. The crew still takes the lead in the championship at the end of this third round.

In the Ultimate Cup Serie, however, it's a solid success. For the opening of the season, the Vortex n°703 of Cyril Calmon, Lionel Amrouche and Sébastien Lajoux wins the category Endurance UGT3b. The No. 701, driven by Philippe Bonnel, Miguel Moiola and Lucas Sugliano, achieved the feat of getting on the podium, in second position, despite a broken dial requiring a pit stop and repairs for nearly fifteen minutes. Great performance for the Vortex car, which will be credited with the best lap in the race.

After two busy weekends, Vortex will return to the track from May 13 to 15 for the 12 Hours of Hockeinheim in the 24H Series. Before heading to Navarra, Spain, on May 27, 28 and 29, for the Ultimate Cup Series.
