Anthony Kumpen (Chevrolet) won the first semi-final of the Nascar Whelen Euro Series contested at the Adria International Raceway (Italy). Starting from third position, the 2014 champion took control of the race from the ninth lap and finally won with more than a second ahead of Alon Day (Chevrolet) while Bert Longin (Chevrolet ) completed the podium.
Frédéric Gabillon (Ford), leader of the NWES arriving at Adria, had to settle for fifth place, finishing behind Nicolo Rocca (Chevrolet).
The race was interrupted on the 13th lap following Riccardo Geltrude (Ford) going off the track and stuck in the gravel.
In Elite 2, Gabriele Gardel (Ford) won ahead of Stienes Longin and Roman Mavlanov (Ford).
