WTCC – Lopez wants to resume his march forward in Slovakia

We had forgotten that Pechito could also be human, as he had reigned over discipline until then. In Moscow, however, after having suffered the law of a Yvan Muller in great form in qualifying, then in race 1, the Argentinian was guilty of a false start in race 2, which earned him a drive trough, synonymous with zero points. There is obviously no danger ahead for the man who has so far accumulated three pole positions and four successes, since he still has a 35-point lead in the provisional championship standings, but on the cusp of the meeting -you Slovak this weekend, the reigning world champion wants to prove to his rivals that he has lost none of his splendor.

“It will be a special weekend, he in fact warned, because the Slovakia Ring is really one of my favorite circuits. The surface is perfectly smooth and I particularly like the sequences of curves at medium and high speed. Turn 2, which you can pass at full speed as long as you have complete confidence, is one of the most exciting places of the season. Last year, I took pole position but I wasn't really able to take advantage of it in the race because it was raining! I hope the weather will be better, for the spectators and for us. I'm looking forward to being there, to defend my position and bring good results to Citroën. »

First elements of response from Saturday afternoon with the qualifying session.
