Yvan Muller doubles the stakes in Macau

For the first time in his career, Yvan muller (Lynk&Co 03 – Cyan Racing) signs two victories in the same weekend in Macau, after his success in the race this Sunday on the Guia track.

The start saw polesitter Yann Ehrlacher maintain the advantage over Thed Björk, but the good move was for Muller, 5th at the start and who suddenly passed Esteban Guerrieri (Honda Civic – Münnich Motorsport) and Kevin Ceccon (Alfa Romeo – Team Mulsanne) to reach third place from the enfilade towards the Mandarin.

The team strategy, already seen yesterday at Cyan Racing, was quickly put into place, and Muller took control of the race before the end of the first lap.

Ehrlacher then lost several places in Lisboa at the start of the second loop, after being overtaken by Guerrieri and seeing his momentum cut off. The Frenchman finds himself 7th after this maneuver which however allows the Muller – Björk tandem to escape from the competition.

It was then Ceccon who got the better of Guerrieri for third place, the hierarchy then freezing for the podium, despite all the Italian's attempts to close the gap on the two leading Lynk&Co 03s.

Ehrlacher finished 6th, Jean-Karl Vernay (Audi RS 3 LMS – Audi Sport Team Leopard) 9th while Aurélien Panis (Cupra TCR – Comtoyou Cupra Racing) did not see the finish of this second race.
