Alex Lynn will be back in Formula E by replacing Pascal Wehrlein at Mahindra Racing for the last six races of the season all contested in Berlin due to conditions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2014 GP3 Series champion will team up with Jérôme d'Ambrosio after the sudden departure of Pascal Wehrlein expected at Porsche for the next season. The Indian team is in last place in the Teams ranking after the first five races.
“I have big ambitions in this championship which correspond to those that Mahindra is aiming for, Alex Lynn commented. I just can't wait for it to start. I drove to Berlin twice and always felt good there. I even competed in Super Pole last season. This unique format will be both exciting and challenging. »
The former winner of the Macau GP will return to the electric single-seater championship after having played in recent years with DS Virgin Racing and Jaguar Racing.
