Alexander Sims on pole at Dariya

Alexander Sims (BMW) is the first pole sitter of the 6th season of Formula E. The Briton, who won his second pole in Formula E, won the Super Pole of Race 2 in Saudi Arabia, beating Stoffel Vandoorne by more than 1 tenths.

The Mercedes made a sensational debut since Nyck de Vries places the second Silver Arrow in 3rd place ahead of Edoardo Mortara (Venturi) and Sam Bird (Virgin Racing). Jérôme d'Ambrosio (Mahindra) completed the Super Pole ranking.

Porsche a connu des résultats différents pour ses deux pilotes. André Lotterer a terminé au pied de la seconde séance qualificative en prenant la 7e position, mais Neel Jani n’a pris que le 20e rang.

Reigning champion Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah) is further behind, taking 11th place on the grid, while his teammate Antonio Félix da Costa will only start 21st after making a mistake.

Nico Müller (Penske) and James Calado (Jaguar) had a difficult session after ending up in the wall. The Swiss and the British are ranked last.

The first race of the Dariya ePrix will be followed live from 12:55 p.m. on Canal+ Sport.
