Alexander Sims continues with BMW i Andretti

BMW and Andretti will be able to count on the experience of a first season in Formula E with the German-American alliance ofAlexander sims before starting the 2019-2020 campaign.

BMW had made the Briton's debut in the discipline during the previous season, the latter taking second place in the final race in New York. With the departure of Antonio Felix da Costa to DS Techeetah, BMW had previously made official the arrival of Maximilian Günther, from Dragon Racing.

“I learned so much during my rookie year, says Sims, also a BMW driver in WEC to the last 24 Hours of Le Mans for the last outing of the M8 GTE in Sarthe.

There have been some significant ups and downs to overcome and I am determined to use this experience to pick up where I left off, and build on that foundation.

The competition will be tough this season with the other drivers, but I have already seen what the unique challenges of Formula E are and I am ready to turn this experience into good results. »

Sims will return to the BMW i Andretti team next week for winter testing in Valencia, Spain.
