Anthoine Hubert moves to F2 at Arden

Affiliated with Renault last season, Anthoine Hubert had brilliantly won the GP3 Series championship within the ART Grand Prix team, thus justifying the confidence of the French manufacturer. The latter will thus promote the young Frenchman by fully integrating him into his academy, and by supporting him in his 2019 program by FIA F2.

Hubert, who we saw at ART Grand Prix for the end-of-season tests in Abu Dhabi, will in fact be entered in the accession series to the F1 under the Arden Motorsport banner.

“After winning GP3 last year, I knew I had a great chance to drive in Formula 2 in 2019, so thank you very much to Renault Sport and my partners for their support throughout the winter, specifies Hubert.

This is a great opportunity for me to join Arden, especially with their new collaboration with HWA. The experience and professionalism of Arden and HWA will be a very good mix for me to learn and progress. »

The entity led by Garry Horner has just announced a technical partnership with HWA, at the base of the program DTM de Mercedes for many years, and now at the helm, alongside R-Motorsport, for the exploitation of the license Aston Martin in the German championship.

HWA is also engaged in Formula E and in FIA F3, thus completing its range of activities for 2019. Arden has yet to confirm who will be Anthoine Hubert's teammate for 2019, after having lined up Maximilian Günther and Nirei Fukuzumi in 2018.
