António Félix da Costa as boss in Berlin, Vergne loses very big

After 158 days of waiting, the Formula E resumed its course. This Wednesday saw the first of the six e-Prixes planned for Berlin at the end of the season. A strong man in this year 2020, António Félix Da Costa, who started from pole, had a quiet race and had no worries winning the race which he led from start to finish at the wheel of his DS Techeetah.

Second for most of the race, his teammate Jean-Éric Vergne had a difficult finish, being overtaken in turns by André Lotterer (Porsche), Sam Bird (Virgin Racing), Nyck de Vries or Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes). Victim of technical problems, the Frenchman finally fell to 20th position.

André Lotterer and Sam Bird took advantage of Jean-Éric Vergne's problems at the end of the race to climb to the second and third steps of the podium respectively after a great battle.

Second in the championship, Mitch Evans missed the boat. Stuck in the peloton, the driver of the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team failed to catch up with the leading car and could only do better than 15th place, dropping several points in the title race.

Full card therefore for António Félix Da Costa who pockets the four points for pole position, the twenty-five for victory as well as that for the best lap. The Portuguese further consolidates his lead at the top of the world championship. He now has 40 points on his first pursuer, Mitch Evans.

The drivers will not have time to rest since the next race will take place this Thursday also on the route of the former Tempelhof airport.
