Bahrain confident of being able to host trials despite coronavirus

As the coronavirus continues to spread around the world, Bahrain is preparing as best as possible to host the FIA winter tests on Sunday F2 and FIA F3 2020.

Despite the cases recorded in the country, the kingdom's authorities believe they have taken the necessary measures to allow the smooth running of the Sakhir runway.

« The Bahrain International Circuit is working closely with all relevant government departments, including the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Interior, to mitigate the threat of coronavirus (COVID-19), indicate circuit officials.

The ministries have activated a number of public health measures, including but not limited to restricting travel from high-risk areas, introducing an extensive testing program and implementing quarantine facilities for suspected cases.

It is within the framework of these initiatives that the circuit is confident that its preparations will result in the successful hosting of the F2 and F3 tests, as well as the Formula 1 »

Remember that the circuit is relatively far from the capital Manama. The F2 and F3 tests are scheduled for March 1-3, with F1 due to travel to Bahrain on the 22nd of the same month. F2 and F3 must return to the track during this same weekend.
