BMW presented its weapon for the 2019-20 Formula e season with a new name for the car of Alexander Sims and Maximilian Günther.

BMW presents a new livery for its iFE.20

The BMW i Andretti team unveiled its car for the sixth season of Formula e. Called iFE.20, it will be piloted by Alexander Sims and newcomer Maximilian Günther.

 

 

Visually, the electric iFE.20 is distinguished by an angular design. Blue, very present in the iFE.18, gives more room to purple and black in the cockpit area.  

In order to better distinguish the two cars, the car of Maximilian Günther (No. 28) will have a predominantly purple tint while Alexander Sims (No. 27) will be more blue.  

Obviously, the German engineers took advantage of their first season of experience to modify the powertrain. In the press release released by BMW, the most interesting detail concerns the hydraulic system: the same glycol is used in the production Bavarian vehicles and in the iFE.20.
