Buemi on pole in Berlin, HWA Racelab in form

Sébastien Buemi (Nissan e.dams) took its second pole position of the 2018-19 season Formula e, this Saturday May 25 in Berlin (Germany). On the concrete-covered Tempelhof airport runway, the Swiss had a significant lead over the other competitors.

In the space of one lap, Stoffel Vandoorne (HWA Racelab, 2nd) lost almost four tenths, when Lucas di Grassi (Audi, 3rd) lost 424 thousandths. On the fourth place on the starting grid we will find the beginner Gary Paffett (HWA Racelab); the Briton had never before found so much performance in the 100% electric discipline.

Two further representatives from the United Kingdom complete the Superpole, with Alexander Lynn fifth in his Jaguar, and Alexander Sims sixth aboard his BMW i Andretti. The leader in the general classification Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah) came out of Group 1 with the ninth fastest time, between Antonio Félix Da Costa (BMW i Andretti) and Jérôme d'Ambrosio (Mahindra).

The second French entry, Tom Dillmann (NIO) only set the 17th time. However, it is better than Felipe Massa (Venturi) and Robin Frijns (Virgin) who will have a lot to do from 19th and 21st place. Finally, André Lotterer (DS Techeetah) will start from 22nd and last place due to poor qualifying timing. The German started his timed lap when the lights turned red.

The start of the Berlin ePrix will be at 13 p.m.
