C1: De Vries continues his momentum at Spa

Starting from pole position, Nyck de Vries (Prema Racing) runs at a pace that is impossible for the rest of the grid to match. Behind him, Sergio Sette Câmara (Carlin) cannot follow him despite overtaking George Russell (ART GP) at the start.

While the race leaders on the same strategy are gathered together after the pit stops due to traffic, the fire of Nirei Fukuzumi's Arden and the intervention of the safety car reshuffle the cards in relation to the drivers on an offbeat strategy such as Artem Markelov (Russian Times).

The last 5 laps saw de Vries continue his infernal pace while Russell and Norris (Carlin) are fighting fiercely for the last place on the podium which ultimately goes to the championship leader.

Nyck de Vries wins his second long race victory of the season after Hungary. He is ahead of Sergio Sette Câmara and George Russell. Lando Norris fails at the foot of the podium in front of Alex Albon (DAMS), author of a comeback in the last laps of the event. Artem Markelov failed to get on the podium and finished 6th, overtaking Luca Ghiotto (Campos) on the line by less than a tenth.

Nicholas latifi (DAMS) and Maximilian Günther (Arden) managed to do well in the race in 8th and 9th place while Roy Nissany (Campos) pocketed his first point of the season. For his first race in F2, Dorian Boccolacci (MP Motorsport) finished 15th despite starting from the pits after stalling before the formation lap.
