C1: Tadasuke Makino surprise winner at Monza

From the first laps, the drivers who started on super-soft tires were surprised by extreme degradation of their tires which they had not been able to test in the dry conditions of the weekend.

Started on medium tires, Tadasuke Makino (Russian Time) goes back easily and from the 5e tour finds itself at the head of the race after starting from 14e place. As soon as the pitstop window opens, all the drivers starting on super-softs stop. Only Tadasuke Makino remains on track with a 20'' lead over the MP Motorsport of Ralph Boschung and Dorian Boccolacci.

As the race continues, the battle intensifies between Lando Norris (Carlin) and George Russell (ART GP) exchanging places and important points in the home stretch of the championship.

Three laps from the checkered flag, Makino stopped to switch to super-soft tires and win his first race in F2. Artem Markelov gives Russian Time a double by finishing ahead of Alex Albon (DAMS).

George Russell recovers a precious 4e position in front Nicholas latifi (DAMS) and Lando Norris. Sergio Sette Câmara (Carlin) finishes 7e starting from the stands. Antonio Fuoco (Charouz Racing) takes reverse pole with an 8th place. Ralph Boschung and Nyck de Vries (Prema Racing) complete the top 10 while Dorian Boccolacci has to retire due to a technical problem.
