C2: Markelov in control at the Red Bull Ring

Starting from pole position, Artem Markelov (Russian Time) benefited from the flying start to immediately build a comfortable lead over Tadasuke Makino, his teammate in second position. In the peloton, it's George Russell (ART GP) who puts on the show: start 8e, it goes back in 2e place in less than seven laps.

Unlike his compatriot, Lando Norris (Carlin) does not manage to come back, he even falls in the ranking in the last laps, probably the victim of serious tire degradation. The only incident of the race was caused by Sean Gelael (Prema Racing) and Louis Delétraz (Charouz Racing) coming into contact at the end of the race.

Artem Markelov signs another victory this season ahead of George Russell who takes the championship lead from Lando Norris for the first time. Sergio Sette Câmara (Carlin) completes the top 10. Antonio Fuoco (Charouz Racing) ends a solid weekend in 4th place ahead Alexander albon (DAMS) and Tadasuke Makino (Russian Time).

After a long battle, Santino Ferrucci (Trident) and Nicholas latifi (DAMS) complete the points zone as Nirei Fukuzumi (Arden) and Arjun Maini (Trident) finish in the top 10 while Lando Norris fails at 11e instead.
