C2 – Russell extends his lead with victory at Monza

The two drivers who started on the first row, namely Ralph Boschung (MP Motorsport) and Sergio Sette Câmara (Carlin) did not get a good start and it was Nicholas latifi (DAMS) who took the lead of the race on the first lap ahead George Russell (ART GP) and Artem Markelov (Russian Time).

Not confident in his brakes the day before, Russell took more risks even if he failed to pass Nicholas Latifi on his first attempt. He finally ends up overtaking him at 9^e round. Two laps later, the Briton took advantage of an error from Artem Markelov to lead the race.

George Russell wins his fifth victory of the season ahead of Artem Markelov and Sergio Sette Câmara. Nicholas Latifi finishes 4^e after resisting the onslaught of Lando Norris (Carlin) author of a disappointing weekend in the championship.

Luca Ghiotto (Campos) ranks 6th ahead Dorian Boccolacci (MP Motorsport) which scored its first points in F2 after an overall very difficult weekend. Jack Aitken (ART GP) scores the last available point while Arjun Maini (Trident) and Antonio Fuoco (Charouz) complete the top 10.
