Carl Haas has died

Carl Haas died on Wednesday June 29 at the age of 86 while suffering from Alzheimer's disease. It was his company Haas Auto which announced his disappearance on Thursday July 7.

Carl Haas also tried the adventure in F1. His team, which worked with Ford and Lola in 1985 and 1986, was the last American team entered in the discipline before the arrival of Gene Haas in 2016.

“In 2002, Carl gave me the chance of a lifetime by offering me the second wheel of the Newman / Haas Racing in CART for 2003, remembers Sébastien Bourdais, current KVSH Racing driver who won four titles from 2004 to 2007.
