Chip Ganassi didn't pay attention to the Dixon rumors

Collaboration between Scott Dixon and Chip Ganassi Racing will continue from 2019, and over several years, as confirmed yesterday by the American team. The epilogue of a wait which lasted several weeks, Dixon being notably placed among the potential pilots in the running to join a possible commitment of McLaren en IndyCar.

He looked at me and said, “Trust me, if anything happens, you’ll be the first to know.” We are ok. » I said ok and that was it. … I kind of took him at his word, and I didn't really pay attention before or after that. »

Scott Dixon admits that contacts have been made, but at a reduced level. “There was a measured discussion, comments the New Zealander. I have a long history with Chip, and I respect him for what he does and what he's done for me and the team, and what we've accomplished together.

There are a lot of people who love racing because of what it is, but I love it for its passion and for what we are capable of doing. Few of us get to do what we love in our lives... We all love to win. I wouldn't be here if we didn't win. »
