Da Costa winner in Marrakech and new leader, Vergne on the podium

And three! Antonio Félix Da Costa (DS Techeetah) collected his third victory in Formula E this Saturday, February 29 in Marrakech (Morocco), after a race dominated from start to finish.

Starting in pole position, the Portuguese was able to manage the threat represented by Maximilian Günther (BMW i Andretti, 2nd) without losing his rank even for the space of one lap. He took the opportunity to move to the top of the general classification.

Sick and feverish the day before, Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah) surpassed himself. Qualified in 11th place, the outgoing double champion took second place before Maximilian Günther overtook him again in the penultimate corner.

The Frenchman, however, is reassured with the best result of his 2019-20 campaign. Another man of experience but little in sight this winter, Sébastien Buemi (Nissan e.dams) is back in the saddle in the Maghreb. The Swiss finished at the foot of the podium.

The best comeback of the day was made by Mitch Evans (Jaguar). Arriving at the Moulay-El-Hassan track as championship leader, the New Zealander was dropped to the back of the grid due to a tactical error by his team in qualifying. After 45 minutes of effort, he finished sixth.

Second in the general classification after four events, Alexander Sims (BMW i Andretti) lost big by suffering mechanical damage on the last lap (24th).
