Daniel Abt suspended by Audi Sport after cheating at Race at Home Challenge

Audi Sport's decision to suspend its driver from Formula E Daniel Abt this Tuesday, May 26 is only the new episode in a series of excesses seen in the virtual world but which have real consequences. 

Indeed, the 28-year-old German pilot had been pinned down for cheating during the Race at Home Challenge in Berlin. A professional simracer had replaced him, used his helmet, his suit, his name and his car without notifying the organizers in order to have a better result.

What he did with provisional third place, before Formula E discovered the trick and excluded the two cheaters. Audi Sport, employer of Daniel Abt in the electric series since its debut in autumn 2014, hardly appreciated his behavior and suspended " with immediate effect " the pilot.
