Mercedes confirmed to maintain its driver duo for the 2021 season of Formula E. “They are not only fast but have the intelligence and mental capacity to master energy management and the unique nature of Formula E racing.”
Stoffel Vandoorne will compete in his third season with the star brand with whom he won last year while Nick De Vries will begin its second year. He finished as the best rookie with an eleventh place in the championship. The Dutchman achieved his first podium at the end of the season.
“We had a good start to the season last year, although it was a bit strange where Covid-19 changed everything after a few races. Fortunately, we were able to end the year on a positive note and I now look forward to starting a normal season. I hope we can use the foundations we have built to achieve greater success. »
Formula E is scheduled to return on January 16 and 17 in Santiago, Chile.
