Two years of suspension for Franck Montagny

Engaged in Formula E With the Andretti Autosport, Franck Montagny was checked on November 22 in Putrajaya (Malaysia), positive at benzoylecgonine (Ecgonine Benzoate), a cocaine metabolite registered in chapter S.6A on the list of prohibited products of The World Anti -Doping Agency.

Provisionally suspended since December 23, 2014, the Frenchman had not wished to appeal the decision. His case was tried on February 19, and the Committee considered that FKM had violated article 2.1 of the anti-doping regulation, namely: "Presence of a forbidden substance or its metabolites or markers in the pilot sample"

Franck Montagny thus saw cancelled all the results he obtained between November 22 and December 23, 2014, therefore those of the Putrajaya Eprix. But the tricolor especially received a two -year suspension from December 23, 2014 (date of the start of its provisional suspension), namely that it will no longer be able to start a race until December 23, 2016 . He has 21 days to appeal.
