Dillmann back in Fe with NIO and Turvey

More movement in Formula e. The day after the announcement of the arrival of Gary Paffett at HWA Racelab for the 2018-19 season, NIO is formalizing its driver duo for the fifth season of electric competition. AlongsideOliver Turney, pillar of the team since the final in London (Great Britain) in July 2015, will be Tom Dillmann.

The Frenchman replaces the Italian Luca Filippi, author of an anonymous season (21st with 1 point). “We had some good days of testing, developing the car Gen2 and strengthening our partnership, explains the 8 Formula V3.5 2016 champion. I appreciate the professional and competitive atmosphere of the team. »

Tom Dillmann is not a beginner in handling an electric single-seater. The 29-year-old pilot had done freelance work on behalf of Venturi in 2017 and 2018 in place of Edoardo Mortara, including a fourth place during the first race in New York (United States) in the summer of 2018.

As for the NIO 004, it is adorned with a white and sky blue dress. NIO aims to leave the bottom of the table (8th in 2018 with 47 points).
